Federal spending and Higher Taxes

I am deeply troubled that Congress has provided funding directly and indirectly to ACORN, an organization that has clearly been proven to be partisan and unaccountable in its operations. It has truly been allowed to run amok with our tax dollars. It needs to be defunded immediately.

1.   It is clearly inappropriate for this organization to have any access to our Federal tax dollars; already many organizations are withdrawing support and endorsement due to revealed irregularities.

2.   There needs to be publicly accepted audits and clear published goals before Federal tax dollars should even be considered.

3.   These are times of recession and tight budgets at all levels of government. We should immediately defund any Federal tax money going to such a disreputable organization.

 I urge you to withdraw all Federal funding, directly or indirectly, to Acorn and provide legislation that does so.
