                          Homosexual Special rights

* Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)

Dear _____________________

    I am deeply troubled that Congress is considering the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) to create special protections based on "sexual orientation" and "gender identity."

    Bills like these that grant special protections based on "sexual orientation and gender identity" pose a direct threat to the rights of people of faith and could ultimately lead to the criminalization of Christian teachings on marriage.

    Such protections are unnecessary, unfair and unjust to the vast majority of Americans. I urge you to oppose ENDA and any other measures that seek to grant special protections based on sexual orientation.

Yours truly,

  *  "Same Sex" Marriages

Dear __________

          I am deeply troubled that __________ is considering passing a same-sex ordinance, that would ________________, because:

       Traditional, male-female marriage has been the norm for thousands of years, across numerous cultures and religions.

          It is clear that there is a public health catastrophe among homosexual men.

          Numerous studies show the importance to children of a father and a mother.

Yours truly.

* HATE CRIME LEGISLATION

 Dear   ________________

     Please do NOT vote for the federal hate crimes bills, HR __ and HR____.

      On Oct. 8, 2004, 11 Christians were arrested and jailed for 21 hours under Pennsylvania's anti-hate law. They had been peacefully preaching at a "Gay Pride" parade.

       While "Anti-Hate" legislation gives the impression of protecting the civil rights of minorities from bias-motivated violence or intimidation, it actually leads to loss of free speech.

        Under Canada's anti-hate law, it is now illegal to criticize homosexual behavior over the airwaves, in print, or in public. The consequences: large fines and imprisonment.

       The FBI's annual "Uniform Crime Report" consistently shows that so-called "hate crimes" constitute only about 1/15th of 1% of all crime in America. Of this 1/15th of 1%, most have not been adjudicated but are called "crime" because of the conclusions of investigating police. Actually, most are "suspected bias crimes incidents," not proven crimes.

        Such infinitesimal numbers of proven hate crimes does not justify unprecedented, massive intrusion of the federal government into local law enforcement.

Respectfully,

* Attempts to Change the "don't ask/ don't Policy in Armed Forces

Dear ________________

    This letter is written in support of the current "Don't Ask / Don't Tell" Policy of the Armed Forces.   We believe it's important not to change it.

    The purpose of our military is to defend America, not to implement social policy that is detrimental to their effectiveness. We have the finest military in the world today. They are fighting one of the most difficult enemies ever in a barren land, with a hostile culture. This is no time to force a very unpopular change upon them.

     Most military leaders oppose this policy.

     Military men and women are often forced to live very close; they do not need to worry about what many consider aberrant sexual behavior.

     We ask that this policy NOT be changed because it would result in the loss of morale  among our brave men and women who are courageously defending America against enemies sworn to destroy us.

Respectfully,
